Rights Need Reasons, Not a Quiet Calendar

Alberta Liberty and Lifestyle Rights Association says adult-choice restrictions require public reasons, especially when the committee calendar is quiet.

the Economic Future page says no meetings are currently scheduled and written submissions are closed. That does not answer whether adult Albertans have been shown the evidence for a new restriction.

The rights question is practical

Adults should not need to guess why lawful access is being narrowed, why existing enforcement was not enough, or whether illegal sellers will face a stronger response than licensed businesses.

Minimum public reasons

  1. What exact conduct is failing under current law?
  2. Which enforcement tool has been exhausted?
  3. Which adult products are affected?
  4. How will illegal replacement supply be prevented?
  5. What review date will test whether the law worked?
